HEY! Where's Perry?

Have you ever seen the Disney show Phineas & Ferb???? Its my husbands favorite show & so it has become the kids fav show because it is something they can all do together.

About a month ago the kids and I were shopping at the BX and they now have action figure characters for the show.

Well of course we had to get Perry~ he's the beloved pet platypus. Who is secretly Agent P the crime fighting platypus.



He was the only logical figurine purchase.... Why did we purchase him might you ask? Well cause he looked like he had a purpose in our life but we didn't know what it was yet. 

We bought him under the assumption it was for Daddy. The kids wanted to give it to him right away, and even came close to telling him what we had gotten. But a dirty look from me and daddy reminding them mommy doesn't like spoiled surprises, helped them not to share our find. Weeks went by and they kept asking. "When are we giving daddy Perry?"  I had hid him in my pants drawer an was still contemplating our options. I was thinking we could sneak into daddy's office while he was in a meeting and leave him on his desk with a coffee and a treat. That option was great but it just didn't fell like Perry would fulfill his purpose that way.

The other day Jared got word he was headed out on a mission this week to someplace really cool.  The next day while driving the kids around I knew what it was we HAD to do! I explained to the kids about a book series I had heard about called Flat Stanley and that he traveled around and went cool places. What if we set Perry up to travel with Daddy and Daddy could take pictures and send them to us and we could see where Perry had been.

We hid our gift in Daddy's Lunch Box. We knew he couldn't go to long without looking in there!

At the beginning of each episode of Phineas and Ferb, the Character's decided what they are going to do today and as they are deciding Perry slips off and becomes Agent P when the kids are done deciding Phineas looks around and says..... "Hey, Where's Perry?"



So that became the title of our Game.... "Hey, Where's Perry?"

So to expand our adventure today we went and got some Flat Stanly books.

They are cute simple chapter books. Took me about 30 min to read one to the kids.
