Malibu Club Military Camp

Last winter/spring I filled out an application for a special Family Strengthening Camp
then promptly forgot about it. Then back in May we got the letter saying we had been selected to go.

I was not 100% excited because we had to ride a BUS!
I really, really Hate Busses!

But I sucked it up and we did it, and I survived the bus.

Im so glad I did, because in doing so we had a great weak.
No great doesn't even come close... Amazing gets a bit closer!
We spent the time, growing closer
as a family and growing closer to God.

It was one of the biggest blessings we have ever received.
All of the funds for camp were raised by donors
and all the volunteers pay to go there and serve.

*This is a mixture of my phone, Jareds phone, & my good camera.
so some pictures are better than others*

We have arrived! (At our departure point)

No worries the feathers are all natural segal feathers - nothing that isn't already there.

Out on the main waterway doing some kayaking

It was a tough Paddle - The wind had picked up and going back was against the tide.

But I got to see a waterfall! Not the big famous one I wanted to see -
but they cant do that tour anymore due to passage fees.

Zip Line path

Bridge out to platform

Platform - Then you zipline out into the water

This is the cabin we stayed in

The next few photos are of different cabins and stuff around the camp

Canadian Canadian Goose

This is where we stayed.

View of the Rapids from our deck.

I may have drank a lot of coffee...

Gym

Ropes Course

The hardest part was the 30 ft drop off at the end where you could chose to jump to the trapeze and then let go and be lowered down or hold on to your rope and be lowered down - Jared jumped, Caden and I were lowered down. Still a huge leap of faith to step off the platform to be lowered to the ground.

I loved the tribal art
