Nisqually Hike

So the small size of these photos do not do them any Justice! It was SUCH a beautiful day and we saw so many really neat things today at the......

It was about a 1 mile hike

We started off at the Visitors Center looking over a wetlands pond

Then hiked down the trail

Looking back at the Nature Center

Algae growing on the pond

This used to be a Farm and they are trying to restore it to its natural wetlands.

Bird that was singing to us.

Its REALLY hard to see~ but there is a Nutria in there... Gunner spotted him swimming around.
Hes in the upper left middle of the photo~ the brown stripy thing.

A raccoon napping in a tree

SQUIRREL

Nisqually River

Perfect day for a hike!

Counting how old the tree was~
Towards the edges it was hard to see the saw had messed it up a bit~
we think anywhere form 40 - 50 yrs old.

Bald Eagle

As we were leaving at 4 PM there was a Bald Eagle, and as we watched him 3 others began to circle after about 5 min we had spotted a total of 6 Bald Eagles Circling.

They were really high~ But it was cool!

Then we went home and BBQ`ed

Brat's

A Perfect Hot Dog

Red Pepper & Gruier Dog, Spicy Mustard, Chili, Cheese, Grilled Garlic & Onions, and my secret ingredient..... Celery Salt

Cant Beat it!!!

If they weren't hiking they were playing in the fort!

Here is the completed Fort with step & railings!

Jared building us a fire

So we can have SMORES ~ his idea! (And a GOOD one!)

Hes concerned its not going to work....

But it did

My Turn!

And we end another perfect day! <3
