We Remember

Every year since we have lived here~ (Six Memorial Day Weekends Now)
The local High School Sponsors a special Memorial.

They call it ~ The Arlington Cemetery Project

For EVERY Veteran that has fallen since the start of
OEF/OIF

We went as a family to take a moment and Honor these service members.

It starts here, each stick represents a life, Each stick goes in order by date of loss,
Each stick includes Branch of Service, Rank, Name, & Date of loss.

I have driven by every year, this is the first we took the time to walk the memorial.
I had no idea the effect it would have on me....
I had tears rolling down my cheek before I hit the end.
It is so very sobering to take each step past each row.
Part of me thankful for each step I take knowing Jared is walking just feet in front of me.

Jared and Gunner Observing the sticks.

Some local families pay tribute to their loved one

Respect, Honor, Love
Thank You for Your Service!

A day of remembrance~
We always thank our God as we remember you in our prayers. (Philemon 1:4)
"Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn." (Romans 12:15)
