Its hard to see~ But today the rain came down in sheets....
And then around 6:30 it let up just a little and a break in the clouds brought the setting sun streaming in through the rain. And for a moment we ran out into the rain and stood in wonder.
Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high,
There's a land that I heard of
Once in a lullaby.
Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue,
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true.
Someday I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far
Behind me.
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me.
Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly.
Birds fly over the rainbow.
Why then, oh why can't I?
If happy little bluebirds fly
Beyond the rainbow
Why, oh why can't I?
So many troubles in the world tonight that we wish would just melt away.
We don't know what tomorrow brings... but I do know that no matter what I have my place
in the kingdom of glory! I was reading an article on Japan and a man in one article said
"I never imagined we would be in such a situation, I had a good life before. Now we have nothing."
If we find ourselves one day with nothing. I hope that we can hold on to what no one can take away. Our faith, our faith that where we have been placed is were we are supposed to be and that through hardships our light can shine through for others. I was talking with Jared a bit about this tonight. We got on the subject because we were complaining a little bit about how YUCK this deployment was. But lately I feel shallow for feeling that way, I believe God gives us hardships to prepare us for helping others we come in contact with or to prepare us for a harder journey down the road. If we continue to keep finding the YUCK in this deployment instead of looking for the glory how will we ever have faith this is were we are placed for a reason? So I am holding onto the faith that we are exactly were we are supposed to be.
March 13
Prayers for Jared!
