As I sit here tonight I can hear the rain coming down over the sounds of the wash machine~ that's when you know its coming down hard! :) When ever faced with this type of weather I often think of the song "Jesus Bring the Rain" by Mercy Me although the song has quite a different meaning~ the literal storm make me reflect on my "life" storms.
Today at church they talked on the period after the storm~ the walk through the desert. The part that really echo's in my heard is ~ The desert is fertile ground for complaint~ One goal that I made in January was to complain less this year. *see it all ties together in my personal brain spiderweb* ;) So as I sit and listen to the rain wash away the remainder of the snow. I am thankful for the storm, thankful for the desert, and thankful for my ability to recognise my complaints..... because each one of those steps brings me closer to fulfilling my purpose.
A deployment is kinda like a walk through the desert... (Literally *wink* & Figuratively)There is plenty to complain about! Lack of communication..... has been the BIG one this go around. So I sit here tonight hoping for a phone call but working on my heart~ just in case the phone call doesn't come~ because part of that not complaining needs to come in the form of not being annoyed at Jared when the phone calls don't come.... but hey I am a work in progress! :)
Why yes~ it is once again snowing! The very last of Feb. snow.
The rain will come tonight and all this shall be gone by tomorrow!

Our evening~ I made a rice table for the preschool kids tomorrow~ But of course, I have to let the kids play in it first! They played in that for over 2 hours! I think they had fun!

And not in anticipation for this Blog~ because I don't plan it out, I just write what comes to me when I sit down~ but tonight's prayers were all about communication and hope for phone calls! <3
